RAWALPINDI: The Customs authorities at Islamabad Worldwide Airport (IIA) foiled an try and smuggle overseas foreign money on Monday.
In response to airport officers, check-in for a Qatar Airways flight to Doha was in progress when customs officers noticed a passenger, recognized as Mohammad Nasir. They inspected his baggage and located worldwide foreign money together with AED 53,000 and QAR 10,000 hidden inside garments.
The suspect was taken into custody for additional investigation and a case was registered towards him.
Individually, three Pakistani deportees who arrived from Doha, had been taken into custody by the Federal Investigation Company (FIA) officers. Upon their arrival at IIA, the deportees had been shifted to FIA’s Anti-Human Trafficking cell for additional investigation.
